Thore Dosdall earned a BM in vocal performance (summa cum laude) with distinction from St. Olaf College. He studied voice with Dr. Dan Dressen. Under the direction of James McKeel and Janis Hardy, Thore focused much of his time on lyric theater, performing in eight productions in Urness Recital Hall. Personal highlights include Conrad Susa’s Transformations, a dark retelling of Grimm’s fairytales by Anne Sexton, and playing Arnalta, an alto role traditionally played by a tenor in drag for comic effect, in Monteverdi’s L’incoronazione di Poppea.
Thore is looking forward to continue working with vocal students, having worked as a teaching assistant for Sigrid Johnson’s voice classes and giving private lessons for the vocal pedagogy course taught by Dr. Tracey Engelmen.
