Nicole Davis: Flute

Nicole Davis holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from the University of Northern Iowa and a Bachelor of Music, Flute Performance from Concordia College in Moorhead She is a private flute instructor, freelance performer, has a Master class clinician. “I believe anything is possible on life’s journey. With the proper resources, education and determination, any student can achieve their goals and dreams and lead a very successful life. Music education is a part of that journey. Not only does a student learn about their instrument, key signatures, scales and composers, but they also learn confidence and discipline; they are able to experience character-building moments that will have a profound impact on the rest of their life.”

 

Carrie Vecchione: Oboe and English Horn

Carrie Vecchione is an active performer and teacher in the Twin Cities area. She performs in the Vecchione/Erdahl Duo creating and promoting music for oboe/bass duo. She also presents music educational programs as Pages of Music with Rolf and Carrie (website: www.oboebass.com). She freelances in the Twin Cities, including substitute work with the Minnesota Orchestra and Minnesota Opera. She served as Principal Oboe for the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra, and as a member of the Ft. Wayne Philharmonic.  Solo premieres include Timothy Goplerud’s Concerto for English horn and Dinos Constantinides’ Transformations for Oboe and String Orchestra.  She has soloed in the Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. Carrie also teaches at the MacPhail Center for Music and has previously taught at St. Olaf College, Ball State University, the Sewanee Summer Music Center, and the International Music Camp at the International Peace Gardens between North Dakota and Manitoba.  She received Doctoral and Bachelor degrees from Louisiana State University, and her Master’s from the Manhattan School of Music. Her teachers have included Joseph Robinson, Earnest Harrison and Mark Ostoich.

 

Lisa Cole: Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Saxophone

Lisa has a MM from Southern Methodist University , and BA from the University of Minnesota. She has studied with some of the best names in single reeds in the country and all the best in the Twin Cities. Currently Lisa plays with the Dakota Valley Symphony and the Austin Symphony. She plays as often as possible in musical pit orchestras in town. A very busy private instructor in Texas, Lisa and her husband have recently relocated to the Twin Cities where they are raising their twin girls. She is happy for the opportunity to begin teaching again at the MN Valley Conservatory.
